Borgward Malaysia opens showroom in Glenmarie

KUALA LUMPUR: Borgward has opened a brand-new showroom in Glenmarie. On sale here will be the brand’s new compact SUV that features a stylish design, the BX5.

The BX5 specs sheet tells that the car measures 4480 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2680 mm. It comes with a fully variable torque-on-demand all-wheel drive (optional). It combines the virtues of the classic SUV like superior comfort and great versatility with an unparalleled amount of cabin space.

Borgward CEO is very much confident that the BX5 will provide the much-needed momentum to the brand’s sales and growth profile. He further added that the buyers would be surprised by the car’s fantastic level of quality, a comprehensive range of services and warranties, and outstanding appointments — all this along with the SUV’s attractive price tag.

The Borgward BX5 benefits from the company’s appealing design language. On the front fascia, it features the OCTAGON radiator grille that features the brand’s iconic diamond-shaped logo and sleek headlights. Along the sides, we see the typical wing lines, and chrome trim on window and doors. The rear features the conspicuous Bogward lettering.

The distinctive design philosophy is reflected in the interior as well and is wrapped in high-quality materials. The cabin experience is further enhanced by the controls ergonomic design and outstanding craftsmanship.

The BX5 comes with the B-Link Smart Connectivity system that is in line with the automaker's brand philosophy. This connectivity system is thoroughly networked and is intuitively operable. It comes with an 8-inch centrally located display and has a comprehensive range of online services.

The car is offered in six different trim levels and can be configured as per the customer’s needs. The equipment list includes - Manual Modern Style, Modern Style, Fashion Style, Energetic Style, Smart Style, and Premium Style.

On the safety front, the car features all-round intelligent occupant-safety concept PROTECT that assures exceptional safety for all in the car.
