Bosch launches first-ever Long Life OAT Coolant in Malaysia – ASEAN market debut

KUALA LUMPUR: Bosch Mobility Aftermarket (MA) has rolled out its first-ever coolant product in Malaysia, making the country the debut market in ASEAN for the new Bosch Long Life OAT Coolant.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the Bosch Long Life OAT Coolant?

The Bosch Long Life OAT Coolant is a Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) and Organic Acid Technology (OAT) based coolant designed for extended service life. It protects engines against overheating in high temperatures, prevents rust and deposits, and is compatible with a wide range of vehicle materials.
  • Where can I buy the Bosch Long Life OAT Coolant in Malaysia?

The Bosch Long Life OAT Coolant is available in 2-litre bottles in red, green, and blue. Customers can purchase it through Bosch’s official Shopee store
  • The launch follows Bosch’s earlier introduction of eight new aftermarket products in February 2025, expanding the company’s local portfolio with solutions aimed at car owners and workshops.

    Engineered for Malaysian conditions

The Long Life OAT Coolant is formulated with Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) and Organic Acid Technology (OAT), developed specifically to withstand the hot and humid climate of Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region. Bosch says the coolant is designed for extended service life while offering protection against extreme heat that could otherwise lead to engine overheating.

Beyond temperature resistance, the coolant has anti-corrosion properties to guard against rust, scale, and deposits. This helps keep the cooling system clean, ensuring stable engine temperatures and consistent performance. Compatibility has also been tested across a wide range of vehicle materials including metals, plastics, and rubber components.

    Meets global standards

Bosch notes that the formula is certified against several international standards: GB/T 29743 (China), ASTM D3306 (United States), BS 6805 (United Kingdom), and JIS K2234 (Japan).

“We are proud to introduce our first-ever Bosch Long Life OAT Coolant, with Malaysia being the first market in the region to receive this product. It’s engineered to enhance vehicle safety, reliability, and durability, and a perfect complement to our expanding product range,” said Dillion Goh, Country Business Director of Bosch Mobility Aftermarket Malaysia.

Part of a wider aftermarket push

This coolant joins a line-up of products introduced earlier this year, which includes:

    • ClearAdvantage TL Wiper

    • EFB Battery (M42R)

    • C70B Battery Charger

    • EVO Spark Plug

    • Updated Engine Oil Range

    • Ceramic Brake Pads

Together, these additions signal Bosch’s intention to broaden its footprint in Malaysia’s automotive aftermarket sector.
