Brembo introduces Greentive braking system
KUALA LUMPUR: At present, the automotive industry is on the verge of transforming the hydraulic system to an electric one. Everything is evolving, including the vehicle's braking systems. And when we talk about brakes, Brembo is one such brand that plays a leading role in a real transition for the car's braking system. The company has been focused on providing a complete solution for this revolution from the last so many years.
Talking about its recent creation, Brembo has introduced the all-new Greentive brake disc that has a new coating on its surface, using HVOF (High-Velocity-Oxy-Fuel) technology. The name Greentive is a combination of two words; Green and Distinctive, the first signifies the environment-friendliness, and the latter highlights its elegance and recognizability.
With high technological characteristics, Greentive rotors are designed to meet the demands of luxury and premium cars. These have a mirror finish that is not just for aesthetics, but the parts with a shiny appearance last longer than conventional discs and have higher corrosion resistance, as per the company.
The discs also feature the Brembo logo on the ring surface, enhancing its Brembo identity and signals when the replacement is needed. In this concern, the company claims that the braking surface significantly extends the disc life cycle and results in very low wear. A reduction of brake dust also contributes to reducing brake emissions and getting cleaner rims.
Furthermore, the HVOF coating offers a high corrosion resistance level, which is particularly required in the new electric cars where the braking system is utilized differently.
"Brembo's commitment to sustainability and environment doesn't end here: starting from the first R&D stages, it encompasses all its activities, substantiating its strong motivation to develop increasingly more sustainable products, solutions, and processes, where even the smallest detail can make all the difference, as with Enesys," the company says.
