2025 iCaur V23 EV launched in Malaysia, starts from RM 120k

KUALA LUMPUR: The Chinese EV brand iCaur has expanded its lineup in Malaysia with the launch of its second electric vehicle, the V23. Marking a significant step forward for Malaysia’s adventure EV segment, the iCaur V23 promises top-notch fully electric off-road performance, advanced chassis engineering, and intuitive connectivity.

iCaur V23 price

The iCaur V23 is offered in two fully imported variants - 2WD and iWD, priced as follows -

Included in the price is a 7-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery and drive unit warranty, and a battery replacement guarantee if the State of Health falls below 70% during the warranty period. 

iCaur V23 exclusive early bird package 

iCaur Malaysia has rolled out an exclusive early bird package for the V23, which is valid for the first 1000 buyers. The package offers - 

• A complimentary 7kW AC charger worth RM 3,400
• An auxiliary 6.86-inch instrument cluster unit valued at RM 1,000
• An extended battery, electric motor and power control unit warranty covering up to ten years or 200,000 km 

iCaur V23 dimensions 

The V23 is a C-segment SUV that measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, and has a long wheelbase of 2,735 mm. The boot space is estimated at 234 litres, which expands up to 744 litres with the flat-folding 50/50 second-row seats folded down.

Paying homage to classic 4x4 icons, the off-road-ready EV has a 42-degree approach angle, a 41-degree departure angle, with gradeability of up to 40%. The SUV can handle challenging terrain with a ground clearance of 210 mm and withstand water depths of up to 600 mm.

With a retro-futuristic boxy design, the SUV strikes a perfect balance between urban practicality and a bold road presence. It features an upright silhouette with a rounded headlight design, rugged bumpers, and squared-off wheel arches. Key highlights include -

In line with the automaker’s futuristic, technology-driven philosophy, the iCaur V23 features a refined black leather interior with durable soft-touch materials and several tech- and comfort-enhancing features. There are four sturdy buttons on the centre console to control in-car functions, inclusive of the drive mode selector.

The 2WD variant offers smooth power delivery with balanced rear-wheel-drive dynamics, while the iWD provides added capability and power, making it suitable for mixed terrains.

Built around a cage-like frame, the SUV has a strong structural foundation with 70% high-strength steel. It is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including six airbags and an ADAS Level 2 pack, supported by a millimetre-wave radar. The pack combines -

Speaking at the launch event, Chery International Executive Vice President, Mr. Chen Chunqing, said, “As a key brand of the Chery Automotive Group, iCAUR is envisioned under Chery’s long-term strategy, “Co-Create, Co-Define,” which signals a major transformation from a traditional automaker into a developer of an intelligent, user-driven mobility ecosystem”.

Chery Corporate Malaysia, Executive Vice President, Men Lin Bo, explained further, “Since its debut iCAUR has introduced a fresh, dynamic approach to EV mobility. Combining potent EV off-road ability and everyday versatility, the iCAUR V23 will now answer the call of a new generation of drivers, explorers, and trendsetters.”

iCaur now has nearly 20 outlets across Peninsular Malaysia, with upcoming centres in Sabah and Sarawak set to open in Q1 2026.
