The first possibility is the BYD Atto 2, as a right-hand-drive prototype of the EV has been spotted in Thailand, hinting at a potential entry into Southeast Asian markets. Another strong contender is the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i, which has been launched in Thailand and is en route to Singapore.

BYD Atto 2

- The Atto 2 is designed as an urban EV for those who don’t want to compromise on a premium finish and ‘big-car’ features.
- Built on the e-Platform 3.0 modular architecture, it measures 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height and spans a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.
- The EV is powered by a single front-mounted motor delivering 177 PS of maximum power and 290 Nm of peak torque. It completes the 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and hits a top speed of 160 kmph.

- Equipment pack comprises - 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.8-inch rotatable central touchscreen, eco-friendly vegan leather upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel, ambient light, power-folding side-view mirrors, parking radars and a surround-view camera system.
BYD Sealion 6 DM-i

- The EV is based on the automaker’s e-Platform 3.0 architecture and measures 4,775 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height. The wheelbase is estimated at 2,765 mm.
- The drivetrain setup combines an FWD e-motor and a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine, generating a total system output of 218 PS and 300 Nm. It enables the SUV to hit the century sprint in 8.5 seconds.
