Chery Malaysia CNY deals, up to RM16,888 rebate for TIGGO 8 PRO, extra RM1,000 for red cars

KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Malaysia is running a New Year promo campaign ahead of Chinese New Year, offering rebates across several models, with savings advertised as high as RM16,888 depending on the vehicle.

The promotion is positioned as a price-led push to move Year of Manufacture 2025 (YOM2025) stock, with Chery stating that the rebates listed are only applicable to YOM2025 vehicles.

Rebate breakdown by model (as stated by Chery Malaysia)

Here’s what Chery is advertising under the “New Year Prosperity Deal Promotion”:

• TIGGO 8 PRO, rebate up to RM16,888

• TIGGO 7 PRO, savings of RM11,888

• TIGGO CROSS (HEV), rebates up to RM6,888

• TIGGO CROSS Turbo, rebates up to RM6,888

• TIGGO 7 PHEV, rebate of RM6,888

• TIGGO 8 PHEV, rebate of RM6,888

On top of that, Chery Malaysia says customers who buy a red coloured Chery vehicle on selected models will get an additional RM1,000 rebate, tying the offer to the traditional “lucky colour” theme for the festive season.

As with the main rebates, the fine print matters here, it’s limited to selected models and the main rebates are tied to YOM2025 units.

PHEV battery warranty still in play, including for existing owners

Chery Malaysia is also reiterating its complimentary 10-year or 200,000 km battery warranty for its plug-in hybrid models, specifically the TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO 8 PHEV.

The brand values this extended coverage at RM3,000, and says it covers the battery pack, power motor, and control unit.

Notably, Chery says the coverage applies not just to new purchases, but also to existing TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO 8 PHEV owners, which is the part some buyers will pay attention to because it suggests this is not strictly a new-car-only headline.
