Chilli Variants are added by Kia to Picanto Model

KUALA LUMPUR: Two sporty Chilli models have been added by Kia, which is Korean car manufacturer in its famous range of Picanto city car. Above two models are the part of Picanto Originals program of revealing high-specification, value-priced models.

Two new variants are there, a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic which comes only in a 3-door format and a new 1.2-litre EU6-complaint engine is featured with 84 hp and 120 Nm of torque.

Including above, the Chilli models having some stylish new rear and front bumpers, a twin exhaust tailpipe ,side sill mouldings and new sporty-looking five-barrel 15-inch alloy wheels. Considering interior part, the seats are of black faux leather having striking red and gray cloth cushions, aluminum pedals. It has Gloss Black finish on its centre fascia, at top steering wheel bezel and gearshifter.

These models also receive satellite navigation, which is connected to a 7-inch touchscreen, along with a reversing camera and a 6-speaker audio system. It will be provided in Red, Black or White paintjob.

According to the report regarding Korean specification of the Rio, the original naturally-aspirated 1.0 and 1.2-litre powerplants will be enhanced by a new turbocharged 1.0-litre. On the current 67bhp version, the three-cylinder unit will be based probably, along with the turbo bumping power around 100bhp.
