Ford introduces a home or office delivery test drive

KUALA LUMPUR: The automotive industry after COVID-19 pandemic discovering the unseen trends. Be it e-Showrooms, digital salespersons, or contactless home delivery, automakers are on their toes for making the customers’ new car purchase experience convenient and comfy. In line with these trends, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion, the sole distributor of Ford cars in Malaysia, offers an additional test drive option through its new Home or Office Delivery Test Drive.

The added option provides a privilege to those customers who are wondering to buy a Ford car, as now they do not need to visit the physical Ford dealership for a test drive; instead, they will get the test drive vehicle right at their home or office. However, the service is available within a 10 km radius of the selected dealer’s location.

The interested customers can book the test drive delivery by contacting the nearest Ford dealership, or by submitting an online request via the SDAC-Ford website, or by sending a message to the Ford Digital Salesperson on the WhatsApp sales line at 019 204 1200. 

For customer’s safety and peace of mind, the delivery consultants will be practicing all the safety protocols, including wearing a face mask, recording body temperature, and sanitizing the vehicle. Moreover, they will be seating on the back seats to maintain social distancing.

“During this period, we understand that customers are in search of additional services for added convenience. That is why we are providing an additional test drive option of delivering our test drive vehicles to our customer’s home or office to show our commitment of continuously enhancing our customer support and service,” said Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion.

The customers can also visit physical dealer outlets, which are completely operational with all the necessary safety precautions and ensure the health and safety of customers and employees. It includes social distancing, temperature monitoring while entering the premise, hand sanitizer dispensers placed in the showrooms, and frequent sanitizing of high-frequency touchpoints.
