Instead, it is a plug-in hybrid SUV powered by BYD-developed DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) Super Hybrid Platform.It is a rebadged version of the Bao 8, sold under the Fangchengbao brand in China, featuring BYD’s latest electrified technology platform, a smart suspension setup, and a luxury cabin experience.

Based on Starship Mecha-inspired design language, the three-row SUV features a boxy and muscular stance with full-size proportions measuring 5195 mm in length, 1994 mm in width, and 1875 mm in height. The wheelbase and ground clearance are measured at 2,920 mm and 310 mm. Adding to its rugged and sturdy appearance are large bumpers, wide wheel arches, and a high bonnet line.
The front is equipped with a blackened radiator grille featuring vertical bars, complemented by ‘starship wing’ LED daytime running light graphics. Towards the rear lies a squared-off tailgate, “Energy Thruster” inspired tail lamps, and a spare wheel.
Dual Mode Off-road Super Hybrid system
Photo from DenzaUnder the bonnet of the upcoming B8 lies BYD-developed DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) Super Hybrid Platform, comprising a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors and Blade Battery technology. The setup delivers a combined output of 450 kW and 760 Nm and a combined range of up to 1,040 km (including 115 km pure EV range).
Designed for off-road adventures and long-distance journeys, the DMO offers strong performance, quick electric response, and good fuel efficiency under diverse road conditions. Based on driving needs, the power adjusts automatically with the help of different models - Pure EV, HEV Series, and Parallel.

The upcoming Denza SUV is equipped with DiSus-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control Suspension, which can adapt to changing road and terrain conditions in real time. It manages suspension behaviour and body movement dynamically and responds to uneven surfaces and rapid direction changes actively.
More than just an off-road system, DiSus-P plays a significant role in enhancing ride comfort and overall refinement, elevating everyday driving as well as challenging conditions.
