GWM Malaysia launches Merdeka 2025 campaign with roadshows, lucky draws and new showroom

KUALA LUMPUR: GWM Malaysia has kicked off its Merdeka Campaign 2025, themed “Gaya Wawasan Malaysia”, running nationwide from 16 August to 28 September. The initiative combines showroom contests, promotional deals, and a roadshow tour aimed at engaging Malaysians during the independence season.

Chief Operating Officer Roslan Abdullah said the campaign was designed to tie in with the spirit of Merdeka.

“Merdeka is a time for us to reflect on how far we have come as a nation, and to look ahead with confidence and vision. At GWM Malaysia, we believe mobility is more than transportation, it is about empowering people, connecting communities, and driving progress. ‘Gaya Wawasan Malaysia’ embodies our commitment to deliver products and experiences that Malaysians can be proud of,” he said.

“Book & Win” Contest Across Showrooms

Over seven weekends, customers who place bookings at participating GWM showrooms can take part in the Merdeka “Book & Win” contest. Each booking gives buyers two chances: an immediate lucky draw at the showroom and an entry into the Grand Lucky Draw.

Prizes worth up to RM120,000 are up for grabs, including:

Roadshow Tour: GWM Goes on Tour

To reach more Malaysians directly, GWM’s roadshow series will bring its line-up and activities to several key venues. Visitors can expect test drives, interactive sessions and roadshow-only promotions.

• Central Region:

  • Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur (10–14 September)

  • GF Luxe, 1 Utama (7 October – 6 November)

• Northern Region:

  • Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang (30 October – 2 November)

  • Ipoh Parade (6–9 November)

New Klang Showroom Officially Opened

Coinciding with the campaign, GWM Malaysia has also expanded its retail footprint with a new showroom in Klang. Located at PT 4209, Jalan Kapar, Kawasan 18, the 3,900 sq ft outlet includes:

• A 1,140 sq ft customer lounge

• Three service bays

• Capacity to service up to 200 vehicles monthly

Operating hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for sales and 8:00 am to 5:30 pm for service.

The “Gaya Wawasan Malaysia” campaign highlights GWM’s strategy of pairing nationwide activities with brand expansion. Between contests, roadshows, special promotions and the Klang showroom opening, the company is using the Merdeka season to strengthen its local presence.
