Honda 3S centre opened in Bintulu, Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak city gets its first Honda 3S centre located in Bintulu. It is the same region where Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia recently opened a 3S centre. The said Honda centre is operated by Kemena Auto and is located at Lat 14728, Jalan Tun Hussein Onn.

The Honda 3S centre sits on a 43,560 sq. ft plot and is built by Kemena Auto with an investment of RM 11 million. The new outlet features ten bays in total that includes three general repair bays, six service bays, and one tyre service bay (it can take in up to 40 cars each day).

Facilities at offer at the new Honda 3S centre in Bintulu include -

• Free flow of beverages and food

In addition to the facilities mentioned above, customers can also perform insurance renewal and road tax at the Honda Bintulu 3S centre.

Toichi Ishiyama, Honda Malaysia MD and CEO, said, “East Malaysia is a region with growing potential and a great opportunity, which has made it an important market for Honda Malaysia. The East Malaysia expansion started four years ago and currently, we have 13 dealerships with seven of them located in Sarawak. As the only dealership in Bintulu, we strongly believe that Kemena Auto will provide outstanding sales and after-sales services to our customers in this area.”

Mr. Ishiyama also gave a bit of a heads-up on the company’s sales, he said that up until May 2019, Honda Malaysia had sold 38,800 units. This means that only halfway into the year, Honda maintains its top-selling non-national car brand position. Overall, it ranks second after Perodua.

Here are the biggest contributors to Honda Malaysia’s top sales performance -

• City - 33%
• HR-V - 21%
• CR-V - 14%

Honda East Malaysia contribution to the year-to-date tally rests at 6 percent, of this 60 percent sales came from Sarawak with over 1,300 units sold.
