Honda Accord Sport Hybrid Revealed in Australia
KUALA LUMPUR: The Honda Accord Sport Hybrid has been launched in Australia which is the first Honda model featuring a new generation of hybrid powertrain technology.
“The Accord Sport Hybrid is the first vehicle in Australia that features our all-new hybrid powertrain. Honda's advanced technology delivers exceptional performance with outstanding fuel economy, ensuring our customers can have the best of both worlds. The Accord Sport Hybrid further demonstrates Honda's commitment to petrol-electric hybrid powertrains as a critical technology for reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions,” told by Stephen Collins which is Honda Director.
A 2.0-litre DOHC four cylinder engine and a two-motor hybrid system are used by the Honda Accord Sport Hybrid to provide combined output of 196 hp and 307 Nm of torque. It has featured an Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD). The system uses 4.6 litres per 100 km and releases 107 grams of CO2 per km.
Another features included in this are Front and rear parking sensors, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Honda's LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system, Multi-angle reversing camera, Active Cornering Lights, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keep Assist System(LKAS).
The Accord Sport Hybrid is launched at the beginning price of $ 58,990 on-road while the one placed as the range-topping variant that is the Accord V6L is available at $ 51,990. Therefore, it makes Honda the most costly offering in comparison to others.
