Hyundai introduces two wild N models as part of 2022 N Day
KUALA LUMPUR: On its annual N-Day, Hyundai pulled the wraps off the two wild examples of N’s electrification vision viz. RN22e and N Vision 74. The automaker calls these models ‘rolling lab’ concepts demonstrating the brand’s ambition to become a leader in zero-emissions technologies. Based on the recently revealed Ioniq 6, the Hyundai RN22e is the first true high-performance testbed for the brand’s E-GMP platform. It features the same streamliner design to leverage the new EV’s aerodynamic features. With low ground clearance and emphasized shoulders, the concept looks wide and sturdy. It measures 4,915 mm in length, 2,023 mm in width, 1,479 mm in height and has a 2,950 mm wheelbase.
As for the improved performance, Hyundai N has added some motorsports-inspired details to the mix. Equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery pack, the concept makes 577 hp of maximum power and 740 Nm of torque. The top speed is rated over 250 kmph.
Hyundai N Vision 74
Coming to the N Vision 74, it is a wild, hydrogen-powered coupe that pays homage to the 1974 Pony concept in terms of design. It also features Parametric Pixel lighting on the front as well as rear, which is an evolution of the ones found on the Ioniq 5. Dimensionally, it is 4,952 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, 1,331 mm tall, and spans a wheelbase of 2,905 mm,
Under the metal skin, the Hyundai N Vision 74 carries two motors at the rear axle, which kicks out 671 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The capacity of the hydrogen fuel-cell stack is 85 kW, which takes just five minutes for refueling. With the battery and fuel cell filled up, the car offers a range of over 600 km.

Besides unveiling these new N concepts, Hyundai also confirmed the Ioniq 5 N will arrive in 2023.
