Isuzu D-Max records strong growth in H1 2025 – 3,081 units sold, 16% market share
KUALA LUMPUR: The Isuzu D-Max is one of the most efficient, dependable and versatile pick-up trucks in the Malaysian market, and the testimony lies in the brand’s first half of 2025 sales results.

The growth is driven by the model’s strong quarterly performance in Q1 this year, resulting in a half-year market share of 16 percent.
The 1.9-litre engine models are still the most popular variants of the pickup truck, which offer brilliant driving performance, amazing fuel economy, versatility and comfort. Together, they account for more than 85.8 percent of the total sales.
Among the top-selling variants is the 1.9-litre 4×4 Auto Premium, known for its impressive suite of comfort and advanced safety, providing exceptional value for money to buyers. Commanding 18.6 percent of total sales, this standout variant has also achieved the amazing feat of entering the Malaysian Book of Records for the longest distance travelled in one tank of fuel.
“The results achieved this year reaffirms the trend we have observed since last year when pick-up truck enthusiasts and passenger car converts alike have discovered the benefits of owning and driving these highly capable Isuzu D-Max trucks. We hope to continue appealing our product benefits in the second half of the year while ensuring positive experiences for our customers,” said CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Tomoyuki Yamaguchi.
“Key efforts for the second half of the year will focus on improving the accessibility of our products by reaching out to potential customers beyond the perimeters of our outlets and offering them immersive experiences that highlight the key benefits of our products,” added Chief Operating Officer Kenichi Kudo.
