JETOUR G700 Ark Edition takes to the water with GAIA Ark Tech

KUALA LUMPUR: JETOUR has demonstrated the G700 Ark Edition’s ability to move and steer on water during its 2026 Global Technology Experience Day, with international media also getting time behind the wheel.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Can the JETOUR G700 Ark Edition move on water?

According to JETOUR, the G700 Ark Edition can move forward and maintain directional control on water using GAIA Ark Tech. The company demonstrated the system at its dedicated navigation test base during the 2026 Global Technology Experience Day.
  • How does GAIA Ark Tech work?

It combines a sealing system, navigation stability controls and a dedicated 800V water-fording system integrated with the CEM-O Amphibious Range-Extender. Activating navigation mode redirects power to the system used for movement on water.
  • Held at the G Series’ dedicated navigation test base, the event included an emergency navigation trial before the media driving sessions. JETOUR says the demonstration showed the amphibious capability of a production vehicle equipped with its GAIA Ark Tech system.

    How GAIA Ark Tech works

The technology brings together a sealing system, an intelligent navigation stability system and a dedicated 800V water-fording system integrated with the CEM-O Amphibious Range-Extender.

Once navigation mode is activated, the powertrain redirects energy to the water-fording system. This allows the G700 Ark Edition to move forward and maintain directional control on water, according to JETOUR.

JETOUR also lists IP68-rated protection for key components as part of the setup.

JETOUR lists emergency rescue, outdoor exploration and demanding field operations among the intended uses for GAIA Ark Tech, which forms part of the G Series’ wider all-terrain technology package.

Shared underpinnings with the standard G700

The Ark Edition uses the same GAIA all-terrain intelligent architecture as the standard G700. JETOUR says GAIA Ark Tech adds controlled movement on water while retaining the vehicle’s off-road capability on land.

The announcement does not give an on-water speed, operating duration or details of the water conditions the system can handle. Pricing and market availability for the G700 Ark Edition were also not included.
