Kia EV9’s global debut is confirmed for this month; until then check out these new teaser images

KUALA LUMPUR: Kia has been teasing us with the images of its upcoming electric vehicle, the EV9, for quite some time. Now, the automaker has released a few more images, however, consider them to be the second-last ones in the long trail teasers. As the automaker will reveal the car’s exterior and interior images by mid-March before the scheduled premiere by the end of March 2023.

For those wondering about its name EV9, well it originated from the brand’s EV nomenclature; wherein EV (meaning electric vehicle) is paired with the number 9 which indicates the model’s segment in the Kia lineup.

The new teaser images like the ones before do not reveal much about the upcoming Kia. However, they do reveal a striking front fascia with an attractive lighting setup and multiple LED light projectors.

What else do we know about the new Kia EV9?

• The EV9 will benefit from the brand’s highly efficient and dedicated Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture. It is the same 800V architecture on which the EV6 is built
• The EV9 is expected to offer an electric range of up to 482 km
• As for its charging, the EV will offer up to 350 kW of fast charging setup wherein 10 to 80% state of charge will be achieved in 20 to 30 minutes

The Kia EV9 has undergone final tests wherein the car is subjected to various tests on several terrains like deep water wading, hill climb, rough terrains, and cobbled road surfaces along with stability & handling tests.
