KLIMS 2026: GWM Malaysia shares a glimpse of the HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV
KUALA LUMPUR: GWM Malaysia unveiled the HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV, one of its upcoming electrified models, at KLIMS 2026, alongside the Ora 5. Presented under the brand’s KLIMS theme, “For Every User, For Every Journey,” its preview highlights the evolution of GWM’s multi-brand, multi-powertrain mobility ecosystem.

The ORA 5 HEV and HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV embody this shift, strengthening how we position each brand within the GWM ecosystem while advancing a clearer, more intentional approach to electrified mobility for the Malaysian market.” GWM Malaysia Managing Director for Corporate Affairs Cui Anqi said.
What it is
The GWM HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV is a new-energy, boxy, urban off-road sport utility vehicle (SUV) built to take on different driving environments while offering comfort, refinement, and practicality for everyday use. It is a versatile vehicle that combines advanced hybrid technology with impressive ruggedness, targeting urban professionals, young families, and adventure-oriented SUV buyers. Pricing for this SUV in the local market has yet to be announced.
Design-wise, it blends premium, refined elements with rugged features, highlighted by its fortress-inspired square grille, mortise-and-tenon square headlights, and crystal facet taillights.
In terms of size, it measures 4,800 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, and 1,843 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,738 mm. The HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV also features a 25-degree approach angle, 32-degree departure angle, 20.1-degree breakover angle, 580 mm maximum wading depth, as well as an electronically controlled rear differential lock, delivering genuine SUV capability.
What powers it
Powering the GWM HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV is the brand’s Hi4 technology that produces 370 PS of maximum power and 750 Nm of maximum torque, going from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds. This SUV offers a CLTC pure electric range of up to 150 km and a combined range surpassing 1,000 km.
Apart from its two newest electrified models, GWM Malaysia will also showcase a broader lineup at its KLIMS 2026 booth from June 12 to 21. This includes the HAVAL H6 HEV, WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV, the newly introduced TANK 300 HEV, TANK 500 HEV, and the ORA GOOD CAT EV.
