Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in Malaysia - SPIED

KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki Ciaz that has already mesmerized the Indian and Thailand crowd with its dynamic appeal and stunning style, is all set to capture the attention of the Malaysian crowd. Though no official announcement has been made by Maruti Suzuki, but Ciaz appears to make its way soon in the Malaysian market, as it was seen testing on the Malaysian road.

Talking about its appearance, it has got the dimensions of a C-segment, which goes as 490 mm in length, 1,730 of width and 1,475 mm height and a wheelbase of 2,650mm. But Ciaz, despite of these dimensions plans to give a though competition to the B-segment cars present in the market.

Coming to its power supplier, Ciaz showcases four different engines depending on its launching country. Like in India, Ciaz comes in two engine variants- 1.4 litre petrol and 1.3 litre DDiS turbo-diesel, both of which generates power of 95 PS and a torque of 130 Nm. As for the Thailand market, Ciaz is powered with a 1.25 litre K12B four-cylinder petrol engine that deliver 91 PS of power and a peak torque of 118 Nm. Interestingly in Thailand, Ciaz has been bestowed with Eco car status. Lastly, in China, Ciaz is available in 1.6 litre petrol options, pumping out max power of 121 hp and a peak torque of 158 Nm. All the four engines are matted with a CVT automatic transmission.

With a bit focus on the spy shot, it is very much clear that the car is carrying a Maruti badge, so this helps us to conclude that Ciaz Malaysia will feature the same petrol engine that is present under the bonnet of Indian Ciaz.

For now, we have to make peace with this spy shot of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and hope that this economic car with high specifications soon makes it way in Malaysia.
