Mercedes-Benz C 200 Avantgarde and C 250 Exclusive officially Launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz, the elite German automobile manufacturer, is known worldwide for producing high-performance luxury vehicles and is regarded as a paragon of flamboyance by many. The company has now come up with the locally assembled W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class in one of the largest automobile hubs of the world, Malaysia. With its high-performance engine and extremely sumptuous looks, the car comes as a rude wake-up call for its rival cars like BMW 3 series

The car is available in 2 variants namely C 200 Avantgarde and C 250 Exclusive. Both of these variants are powered by a 2.0 liter M 274 DE 20 AL engine working in different states of output tune. The C 200 variant can deliver a maximum power of 184 hp along with a peak torque of 300 Nm. It can accelerate from naught to 100 km/hr in 7.3 seconds, clocking a top speed of 235 km/hr. These figures enhance significantly with the C 250 variant which can dispatch a maximum power of 211 hp coupled with a peak torque of 350 Nm. This variant offers even more exhilaration and can attain 0-100 km/hr mark in mere 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/hr. The advanced 7-speed 7G Tronic Plus transmission is offered as a choice for both the variants.

Coming to the exterior design, C 200 has been given a sporty appearance while C 250 boasts a rather elegant demeanor featuring Air-panel active louvers on the front grille. The standard features incorporated in both the variants include LED headlights, a 20 CD audio system with touchscreen, and built-in Garmin MAP Pilot Navigation. Both the variants are employed with 17-inch alloy wheels in different designs, a five twin-spoke on the C 200, and a multi-spoke on the C 250.

The other salient features deployed in both the variants include powered front seats with memory, cruise control, Active Parking Assist with rear view camera, 7 airbags, and automaker's Pre-Safe system. The C 250 variant is more elegant from the inside as well and gets hold of a leather-covered dashboard, keyless entry, a sunroof and a comfort suspension.

The C 200 variant is priced at RM 269,888, while the C 250 is a bit more expensive and is available at RM 299,888.
