RC 200t coupe is the latest benefiting take of Lexus in Europe

Kuala Lumpur: The luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Toyota, Lexus has begun selling the 2015 RC two-door coupe in Europe, which now comes equipped with a mutated turbocharged 241 HP engine – the variant shares the similar platform in terms of power with the NX crossover and the IS executive sedan.

Despite some dissimilarities in the dynamics with mentioned vehicles, the 2.0-litre turbocharged in-line 4 cylinder gasoline engine offers the output and performance, with listed numbers being 245 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The RC 200t is capable of reaching 0 to 100 kmph mark on the speedometer in about 7.5 seconds before going on a top speed of 230 kmph. The eight-speed automatic transmission in the RC 200t sends maximum power to the rear wheels, that can be left in automatic mode or shifted manually using paddles. Lexus says that RC 200t returns an average 7.5 litres/100km of fuel consumption, acclaimed as per the European combined cycle, combined with CO2 emissions of 166 g/km.

There are some improvements and revisions in this variant, keeping in mind buyers who crave to drive the vehicle loaded with sporty elements, presenting the F-Sport package. It brings a Torsen limited-slip differential and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), which aims at improvising the comfort level and triggering the performance figure of a 'sport' variant.

The RC 200t has virtually the same kit, with little changes appointed. Showcasing the same, a selection of 17- to 19-inch wheels for updated RC 200t and 19-inch rims for the FSport package as standard comes live on the stage.
