Reservations open for 2020 Honda e

KUALA LUMPUR: Every now and then we get to hear something or the other about Honda's new EV. First up, we saw the car via render images, then Honda revealed the EV Concept, and it was only recently when the company introduced the car's prototype at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Earlier codenamed the Honda Urban EV, the automaker has now given it a name. It is called Honda e.

It's not a hidden fact that since day one, Honda e has received a hell lot of appreciation and love from the auto community. And with Honda opening up the reservation process, we are sure that the love will fast transcend into figures. However, Honda is yet to reveal the EVs price tag that we are expecting to range between £ 25,000 (RM 132,633) to £ 30,000 (RM 159,160).

As for the 2020 Honda e performance specifications, the car is expected to offer a driving range of 200 km, and it will be a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Also, it will hold a Panasonic battery that'll charge up to 80 percent in a mere time frame of 30 minutes.

Once launched, the car would be available in five color options, one of which is aptly named as 'Charge Yellow'. Also, included in its color card are black, white, grey, and blue options.

Interested individuals in Germany, France, and the UK can put down £800 ( around RM 4244) and reserve the Honda electric car. In the future, be ready to see more such offerings from Honda, as the auto brand has committed to 100% electrification of its lineup in Europe by 2025.
