Subaru XV facelift previewed at Thai Motor Expo

KUALA LUMPUR: The 38th Thailand International Motor Expo 2021 has finally opened its gates for the public today and it remains so till 12th December 2021. A lot of automakers are part of the expo showcasing their best and latest creations. For instance, Toyota showcased the Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport, Porsche displayed the new Macan, and Subaru got the XV facelift to the stage. Here we'll be discussing the latter.

The Thai-spec Subaru XV facelift will be launched next year and it will be manufactured at the Segambut based Tan Chong plant. Let us now get into the details -

The facelifted model is offered in one single variant option, the 2.0i-P EyeSight. By paying a few extra bucks customers can opt for the body kitted GT Edition.

The XV facelift is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre flat-four engine making a maximum power of 156 PS at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 196 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

Carried over from the previous-gen model are the Lineartronic CVT and the brand's signature symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. However, new to the setup is Subaru Intelligent Drive (Si-Drive) drive mode selector and the new dual-function X-Mode system.

One of the biggest additions is the EyeSight system that is making its Southeast Asia debut. Included in the EyeSight kit are features like - pedal misapplication control, autonomous emergency braking, lane sway & departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front departure warning.

• Revamped 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels (18-inches for GT Edition)
• 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory
• Automatic passenger-side door mirror tilt in reverse

• Rear seat belt reminders

Subaru XV facelift standard kit includes all the necessary features that work towards making the drive super comfortable. Included in the list are -
