The teaser of the new B-segment Volkswagen T-Cross is here
KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen has just released the teaser images of their new crossover. Dubbed the T-Cross, this car’s design has been under process for quite some time now. The German automaker has finally released the first look of their new B-segment car.
This teaser is being termed as a semi-official reveal, as Volkswagen has just released sketch images of the car. From the pictures, it can be clearly seen that the T-Cross has been given the brand’s design philosophy.
The front of the car has been given the styling cues from the Touareg and T-Roc, resembling its slim headlights as well as wide, bold grille. These design characteristics have been infused with a more stylish interpretation in the T-Cross. The low-set window line kinks upwards towards the rear in this B-segment car. But, unlike some crossovers, it lacks the third window.
The design of the rear is one that has been given a different touch. The tailgate design, especially the upright rear windshield brings a unique edge to the T-Cross. From the very base of the windshield, a sheet metal can be seen protruding outwards and hence, forming the rest of the hatch. The middle portion of the rear has been given full-width tail lights and the lower half has been surrounded by body cladding, which adds a beefier look to the vehicle.
The T-cross has a length of 4,107 mm, which makes it slightly smaller than the already-launched T-Roc (4,178 mm). Thus, two models of this Volkswagen B-segment can be expected, especially for the European market.
The Volkswagen T-Cross is soon going to launch its official teaser. Then, more details and specifications about the car can be expected. But, one thing is so for sure that when T-Cross reaches its production, it’s going to be put up against cars like Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, Nissan Juke, and Toyota C-HR.
