This beauty celebrates Mercedes-AMG’s 55th anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-AMG has completed 55 years in the auto industry this year. To mark the occasion the German automaker has released special ‘Edition 55’ versions of its several models including the A 35, CLA 35, and G 63. Now joining the special Edition 55 are A45 and CLA 45, in sedan and wagon body styles.

The new Edition 55 models are open for booking until December 2022 and feature several aesthetic enhancements. However, all this comes at an extra cost, the 2022 Mercedes-AMG A45, and CLA45 Edition 55 (S variant) are available at an additional price of 14,280 euros and 12,614 euros.

What attributes separate the A45 and CLA 35 Edition 55 from the standard model?

Aerodynamics package

The new Edition 55 models benefit from AMG Aerodynamic kits that include a new rear wing, larger front splitter with additional flics, additional trim on the diffuser blade and faux rear air outlets. All these aero elements are sprayed in a high-gloss black tone.

High-gloss finish

The Special Edition 55 model separates itself from the standard model with a high-gloss black finish on several exterior bits like louvres in the outer air intake, beltline and window line
Strips, AMG side sill panel inserts, and side mirror caps. Also, the wings and the model badge on the boot lid feature the same finish. The Panamericana grille and tailpipes trims, on the other hand, feature a black chrome finish.
