KUALA LUMPUR: TQ WULING has officially launched the Bingo EV in Malaysia, a locally assembled compact electric hatchback offered in two variants, Bingo PRO (RM67,800) and Bingo MAX (RM72,800).

    Launch promo, RM5,000 rebate, plus “Fabulous 5” package for first 500 customers

    To mark the launch, TQ WULING is offering what it calls “Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perks” for the first 500 customers who book and place an order.

    The headline offer is a RM5,000 cash rebate, which brings the on-the-road pricing to RM62,800 for the Bingo PRO and RM67,800 for the Bingo MAX.

    Other items in the package include low financing rates with monthly instalments “from RM625” (selected financial institutions), plus charging hardware and tinting.

    The cute hatchback also has a warranty coverage of 8-year/120,000 km for the EV battery and 8-year/160,000 km for the drive motor (whichever comes first), plus a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty (whichever comes first).

    Bookings are done online via tqwuling.my with a RM50 booking fee.

    Powertrain, battery, range, charging

    Both Bingo variants use a front-mounted 50 kW motor with a single-speed reduction gear and front-wheel drive, rated at 68 PS and 150 Nm.

    Battery-wise, the Bingo PRO gets a 31.9 kWh LFP pack, while the Bingo MAX steps up to 37.9 kWh. Range is quoted at up to 333 km (CLTC) for the PRO and up to 410 km (CLTC) for the MAX.

    For charging, DC charging is quoted at 30 percent to 80 percent in around 35 minutes. AC charging from 0 percent to 100 percent is stated at roughly 4.5 hours for the PRO and 5.5 hours for the MAX.

    Size, cabin, tech, practicality

    Dimensionally, the Bingo EV measures 3,950 mm long, 1,708 mm wide and 1,580 mm tall, with a 2,560 mm wheelbase., which means it's a smaller car than our local EV hero, the e.MAS 5.

    Design highlights include a closed-off EV nose, X-shaped LED DRLs and matching LED headlamps, with similar styling echoed at the rear lights. Malaysia gets three exterior colours, Milky White, Neon Blue and Lavender Purple, all with a black roof.

    Inside, TQ WULING is going for a retro-modern look with a dual-tone cabin and Caramel Latte leatherette upholstery. A pair of 10.25-inch screens handle the instrument display and infotainment, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support mentioned. Practical touches include 15 cabin storage compartments, plus a boot quoted at 395 litres, expanding to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded.

    Equipment listed includes a six-way power driver’s seat, keyless entry with walkaway auto-lock/unlock, cruise control, electronic air conditioning with physical controls, an electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold, and a rotary gear selector.

    Safety, six airbags standard, plus ESC and blind spot warning

    TQ WULING says the Bingo EV uses 1,500 MPa ultra-high tensile steel in key areas, and both variants get six airbags. The release also claims Malaysia is the first market globally to offer the Bingo EV with six airbags.

    Other safety systems listed include ABS, EBD and ESC, plus Blind Spot Warning, TPMS, a low-speed pedestrian alarm, and items described as EntrySafe System and Walkaway Auto-lock/unlock.

    Showrooms, service support, weekend test drive event

    TQ WULING says it currently has six dedicated showrooms across Peninsular Malaysia, supported by seven aftersales centres through Tan Chong’s service network, with more to come.

    A “Bingo FAB 5 Weekender” showroom event is set for 20 to 21 December 2025, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with test drives, test drive gifts, refreshments, and booking perks on top of the Fabulous 5 package.
