Vehicle sales data by brand for September 2015

Kuala Lumpur: While the sale of vehicles for the month of June and July signalled fluctuating sales and for the month of August, it has still fared better. September resulted in 7 % overall hike in sales count to the Malaysian Automotive Industry. Now, we have retrieved particular data brand-wise for the September month, which is totalled at 51,106 units. In comparison to the August sales count, the market has make a leap of 2,346 units, which is a good news for the automotive sector of the country.

The two big time local car manufacturers of Malaysia, Proton and Perodua has witnessed slowdown in the overall sales figure. Perodua, still leading the top position, have slipped by 13.4 % with a total of 14,479 units sold in September. While Proton have dropped with 8,723 units sold compared to 9,040 units in the month before.

However, the scenario has been changed for the foreign brands. Honda has beat every other auto maker in terms of its sales units. It has become a major key player of Malaysian Automotive Industry, besides Proton and Perodua. It has moved a total of 7,519 vehicles compared to 6,853 in August, which results in a total rise of 9.7 % for the brand.

Other than these three auto giants playing good on-field, Mazda is said to become next assured player in the game for coming months. It has sold a total of 1,279 units in the month of September beating its own August count of 1,192 units. Same is with the luxury brands, especially Audi and BMW in Malaysia, a healthy rise in the data has been registered. Figures have changed from 103 and 700 units from August to 126 and 747 units, respectively.

The much-hyped, Volkswagen has seen a fall recording only 443 units as compared to 663 units from August.
