Volvo Cars’ new Global Head of Design announced

KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Cars announced the name of its new design chief. As one can expect the command goes into the hands of a capable being in the field who goes by the name of Jeremy Offer.

On receiving the honor to work with Volvo Cars Jeremy Offer said, “It’s an amazing opportunity to define Volvo Cars’ design language and principles, together with all the great talents across the company, as it soon enters its second century of providing customers with innovative and new products.”

With 35 years of design experience across different industries, Offer seems to be the most suitable man for the position. Reporting on duty from May 1, Offer will be reporting to Jin Rowan, Volvo Cars Chief Executive and has succeeded Robin Page. While the latter will continue in the company as a senior advisor, the new appointee will be part of the group’s management team.

As per Page, Offer would bring strong leadership to the table along with a plethora of design experience ranging from EV to digital products & services.

Here are a few attributes that follow Jeremy Offer -

• Before Volvo, he led Arrival’s design team as Senior Vice President & Chief Design Officer. He worked across vehicle programs, brands, components, and user experience
• Prior to Arrival, he was Head of Industrial Design and part of the senior management team at the global consulting firm EPAM. Here he brought service and industrial design to a wider consulting practice
• Through the course of his career, he received several awards and recognitions
