KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. Xiaomi is the name of the brand, the same company that is known for its tech-savvy and affordable smartphones. And now the company has expanded its product range, no, not with another electronic but a four-wheeler, a car.

Called the Xiaomi SU7, it is the brand’s first electric car that was first showcased in India (a few days back) and now in Malaysia. The Chinese tech giant chose Suria KLCC as the EV’s local debut venue.

Is the Xiaomi SU7 open for booking? No, the automaker is not accepting orders as of now and the car is just ‘for demonstration purposes only’. So, like the Tesla Cybertruck, the Xiaomi SU7 is here for tech showcasing.

When and where can you check out the Xiaomi SU7? Well, the SU7 is part of the company’s Human x Car x Home ecosystem showcase which is part of the 14T Series roadshow. The event is taking place at Suria KLCC until this Sunday, 20 October. Anyone here can have a closer look at the car, however, the ones who purchase the Xiaomi 11T Series at the show will have access to the priority line.

What’s Xiaomi Human x Car x Home? It is an ecosystem with Xiaomi HyperOS at its core. It is an in-depth cross-device collab between the company’s smart devices smartphones, smart home devices, to cars. A better understanding of the ecosystem can be had from the fact that it involves more than 200 product categories, involving 600 million global devices covering more than 95% of users’ daily scenarios.
