For a seven-seater compact MUVs which are usually styled conservatively, the Perodua Aruz looks very striking. The various styling cues like angular front fascia and rear profile machined alloy wheels, roof rails, and high ground clearance and some factors which are clearly inspired by that of a modern compact SUV, which makes it look quite rugged and very modern at the same time.

The seven seating configuration of the Perodua Aruz makes it one of the most flexible and practical cars of today’s time. The second and third row have multiple seating adjustments, which make it very convenient to ferry people and luggage at the same time,  which is not possible in a similarly priced five-seater compact SUV.

Complementing the bold and premium exterior design of the new Toyota Camry is the revamped cabin on the inside. The new dashboard design looks very unique, changing the overall character of the Toyota Camry altogether. Also, the new Camry is equipped with all the premium features which one expects from a full-sized luxury sedan.

Given its large size translating into a very spacious cabin and premium fit and finish, the Toyota Camry feels extremely luxurious on the inside. The suspension setup too is set on a softer side, which gives the passengers on the inside a plush ride quality.

Things we don't like

While there is not much to complain about the packaging and exterior styling of the Perodua Aruz, the fact that it is nothing but a rebadged Toyota Rush robs of the factor of exclusivity from this car. It would have been better if Perodua could have introduced some minute styling changes in and out, rather than just replacing the Toyota badge with that of Perodua, and nothing else.

While the exterior styling of the Perodua Aruz is exceptionally well and dramatic, the same can’t be said about the interior cabin layout. It would have been better if Perodua could have made the dashboard layout as contemporary and visually striking as the exterior design. The interior cabin layout looks a bit simple for a UV of this segment.
