Perodua Aruz X, the cheaper of the two variants of the highly anticipated 7-seater SUV in the Malaysian market is a not so distant cousin of the Toyota Rush. The Aruz is powered by a 1496 cc 4-pot engine that pumps out 105 PS and 136 Nm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The Perodua Aruz comes with features like “follow me home” function, 17-inch alloys, rear air-conditioning vents, adjustable steering wheel with audio and telephony controls, smart entry with push-button start/stop, and built-in toll reader among others. Safety features on the 7-seater SUV include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, VSC, HSC, HSA, emergency stop signal, seat belt reminders for all seven seats, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The Aruz has also received a 5-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP.
