AEON Credit has partnered with Cardinals Racing Team for the 2026 Asia Road Racing Championship season. What championship will the team compete in?
The team will compete in the 2026 Asia Road Racing Championship, or ARRC.Best known as one of the country’s biggest motorcycle financiers, AEON Credit said the partnership is part of a wider push to stay closely tied to the industry, not just through hire purchase and financing, but also through racing, rider development and brand presence at regional level.

The company says it currently holds more than 20% market share in motorcycle financing, which puts it in a strong position in a market that continues to rely heavily on two-wheelers for daily mobility. Against that backdrop, backing a racing team is not a random branding exercise, it is also a way of staying visible and relevant to the same community that makes up a large part of its customer base.
Ms Lee Tyan Jen, Deputy CEO & Chief Business Synergy Officer of AEON Credit said, “Our partnership with the Cardinals Racing Team represents a natural extension of our leadership in the motorcycle segment. We are proud to support a team that embodies precision, resilience, and a competitive spirit. These are values that closely align with our own. This partnership allows us to contribute meaningfully to the motorsports ecosystem while strengthening our connection with riders and enthusiasts across the region.”
Cardinals Racing Team is already a familiar name in the ARRC paddock, with a reputation built on solid technical execution and consistent race performance. With AEON Credit now coming in as an official backer, the team will be aiming to push harder for podium finishes throughout the 2026 season.
For AEON Credit, this is also part of a bigger motorsports strategy that has been building over the last year or so. In 2025, the company was involved in MotoGP-related activities and also supported Malaysian rider Hakim Danish during his wildcard outing. It is also now working with ZK Racing to place Hakim Danish in a full-season campaign in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship.
That gives this latest ARRC tie-up a bit more context. Rather than being a one-off sponsorship, it looks more like AEON Credit is steadily building a motorsports portfolio around both team support and rider development, especially where Malaysian talent is concerned.
The company says the investment also ties into its wider branding goals, including increasing visibility on international racing platforms, engaging more directly with customers and communities, and strengthening its position as a supporter of young talent.
“Motorsports is a powerful platform that embodies innovation, discipline, and ambition,” added Ms Lee Tyan Jen. “From grassroots development to international stages, we are committed to supporting talent and teams that represent the future of racing.”
Team Principal of Cardinals Racing Team, Mr K.F. Wong commented, “We are honoured to partner with AEON Credit for the 2026 season. Their support strengthens our ability to compete at the highest level, and we look forward to delivering strong results while proudly representing the brand throughout the championship.”
The Asia Road Racing Championship remains one of the region’s biggest motorcycle racing platforms, bringing together leading riders and teams from across Asia. The 2026 season is expected to continue that trend, with multiple rounds across international circuits and the usual mix of factory-backed efforts, private teams and emerging riders.
For AEON Credit, the Cardinals Racing Team partnership helps connect two sides of the same world, everyday motorcycle ownership and top-level competition. In simple terms, it is a company deeply involved in financing bikes now pushing further into the performance side of the industry as well.
