GAC GS3 Emzoom

With dual-tone blue and black leather upholstery, the GAC GS3 Emzoom has a dramatic-looking cabin layout, which goes in sync with the extrovert design of the SUV. A 7-inch TFT instrument console and a fancy-looking flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel combine to make the driver’s cockpit of the GAC GS3 Emzoom look exciting. 

On the other hand, the GAC GS3 Emzoom has a trapezoidal 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is slightly inclined towards the driver’s side. There are sleek trapezoidal panels for the AC vents with automatic climate control knobs in the lower centre console, while at the bottom, there are cup holders, a wireless charger, a stubby transmission lever and an electronic parking brake switch over a gloss black surface.

The GAC GS3 Emzoom also gets rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, a powered tailgate, a powered driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, an air purifier, ambient lighting, and a 6-speaker audio system.

With this heavily updated version, the GAC GS3 Emzoom looks entirely different from its predecessor, and in the process of transformation, this SUV has become much more stylish and sharper-looking in its appearance.

At the front, the GAC GS3 Emzoom has a flying wing front grille, which includes a hexagonal grille with sharp edges vertical gloss black inserts, and orange highlights. The grille has angular headlamps placed adjacent to its upper side edges and has unique triangular LED DRLs. The front bumper also looks sporty, while comprising a lot of creases and housing LED projector headlamps on the upper corners. 

The visual drama continues in the side profile of the GAC GS3 Emzoom, thanks to sharp creases over the fenders and door panels. The additional dash of style comes from the 19-inch machined alloy wheels and contrast orange accents over the rims, window waistline, and triangular C-pillar garnish. The huge rear diffuser with centrally-placed twin exhaust outlets and contrast orange accents on the sides make the GAC GS3 Emzoom look sporty from the rear, with the LED tail lamps here having an edgy design. 

The GAC GS3 Emzoom is a front-wheel drive SUV with Macpherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear for the suspension setup. While the handling doesn’t feel too exciting due to the very light steering setup, the ride of the GAC GS3 Emzoom feels composed and well-settled across varying speeds. 

The standard powertrain of the GAC GS3 Emzoom is a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. With a maximum power output of 177 PS and a peak torque output of 270 Nm, this engine gives the GS3 Emzoom a top speed of 190 kmph, while claiming 8 seconds for the 0-100 kmph run and a fuel efficiency of 5.9 km per 100 km. 

The GAC GS3 Emzoom is loaded with a lot of safety features, with this premium compact SUV also having a range of ADAS features like adaptive cruise control with integrated cruise assist, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking, front collision warning, high beam assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, intelligent speed limit control, traffic sign recognition system and fusion automatic parking assist.

The list of safety features also includes six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, 360-degree parking camera, electronic stability program, hill hold control, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors and blind spot vision. 

In this updated version, the GAC GS3 Emzoom received a significant makeover, with the premium compact SUV featuring a very stylish and modern-looking exterior and cabin layout, lots of new-age features, and well-settled ride quality, making it a decent choice for urban drives.
