Let down by its reliability

Last year I purchased the Land Rover Range Rover on my father’s recommendation and was impressed by its driving dynamics but let down by its reliability. It is very powerful and has a fine transmission. However, the control systems and electronics of the car are extremely poor. While the Range Rover looks great on commercials and the showroom it is not at all reliable. Within less than a year the engine completely blew out and had to be replaced. This is not something we ever expected from the brand.
