Guessing from the price tag, and the elite branding the interiors of the Range Rover are strikingly luxurious which is rarely expected in an SUV. The grandeur of the Range rover is reflected evidently in the leather dash and steering along with those cozy seats and classy center console. The interiors come with a wide range of options to choose from with all sorts of color to make the interiors just perfect for you. The dash looks amazing and has an embedded 8-inch display with dual view to keep both the driver and front passenger entertained. The rear seats also get two 8-inch displays on the back of the front seats along with a remote control. The steering wheel is a thing of beauty in itself and also has all the controls mounted on it so that the driver does not have to take his hands off the wheel. Instead of a dial behind the steering, there's a 12.3 inch instrument panel that gives visuals of a dial and all sorts of information. The rear seats also get an armrest in the middle, along with AC vents and other features like mood lighting that lights up the interior and gives a fresh feel to it.

Interior Comfort:

The Range rover Vogue is so comfortable that for once you forget you're sitting in an SUV. The supremely comfortable heated seats give you enough support to let you sleep through those bumpy roads. The winged headrests support your head from all three sides. Apart from these, the armrest in the middle, on the rear looks magnificent and carries with it the AC vents for the rear passengers, USB ports, cup holders and a small storage space providing maximum functionality of the arm rest. The leather steering wheel is also heated and has controls of the entertainment system as well as of driving systems like cruise control on it. The seats are electrically adjustable to provide maximum comfort.

Interior Measurements:

The interiors of the Range Rover is huge and spacious. There is ample leg and head room for all the occupants. The boot space is also exceptionally large with 909 litres with the seats up where as 2030 litres with the rear seats down, which means there is no problem in storing luggage for long journeys.

Stereo and Accessories:

Land Rover has taken the entertainment inside the cabin very seriously. Hence, it has provided with an 875 Watt Meridian sound system in the 5.0-litre V8 variant that comes with 19 speakers and 16 channels that creates a theatrical audio experience inside the car while the other two variants get a 380 W Meridian system. Apart from the audio system, the centre console has an 8-inch touch screen display with dual view to enable the driver and the first passenger to view two different things on the same screen. The rear row also gets two 8-inch displays, each fitted on the back of the front seats providing a wholesome entertainment for the occupants. The system is compatible with Bluetooth, USB, AUX, CD/ DVD, iPod and radio along with voice recognition.

Not much has been changed in the overall shape of the range rover since it was launched and it is a good thing. The legendary design has built a legacy of its own with pumped exterior filled with adrenaline and looks ready to gulp in any obstacle thrown at it. The front grille gives it a military appearance with those straight lines that also extends on the front bumpers and the adaptive xenon head lamps. The rear of this Rover also has straight lines with the rear LEDs getting cubical structure. The big squarish bonnet looks stunning and merges smoothly in the front grille. The side blades on the front door behind the front fenders also gives it a certain character and can be customized to preference. The wind screens are acoustic laminated which means that no noise will enter the cabin. Apart from these, the windscreen is heated and the doors are toughened with the front door being laminated hydrophobic. The side mirrors are power foldable, heated and auto dimmed to maximize visibility for the driver along with approach lamp and Driver memory function. Overall despite of being a big boxy car, the Range Rover Vogue doesn't look any less than awe inspiring and elegant.

Exterior Measurements:

The dimensions of the Range Rover Vogue matches what it is meant to do. As such, the overall dimensions of Range Rover measure 4999 mm x 2073 mm x 1835 mm. The vehicle height however changes according to the dampers response to the terrain increasing in off road conditions. The wheelbase of the Rover measures 2922 mm with a turning radius of 6.35m which is impressive for a car of this size.

Wheels:

The wheels that come as a standard are 20-inch alloys but they can be chosen from a range of wheels of sizes 20-inch and 21-inch. The tyre specification is 255/50 R20 for the 20-inch alloys and similar aspect ratio is maintained in all the sizes.

This is no doubt a thirsty beast with a huge appetite. The 3.0-litre V6 petrol has a fuel efficiency of 8.7 kmpl whereas the 5.0-litre V8 offers 7.8 kmpl. The 4.4-litre diesel is slightly economical at 11.5 kmpl. The carbon emissions however has been reduced to 299g/km. Given, that one does not really expect a Land Rover to fair in this department, Range Rover has still managed to excel fairly well.

The Range Rover comes in two petrol engine and one diesel variant. The first petrol engine is a 3.0-litre V6 Supercharged engine that offers a decent 335 bhp along with a max torque of 340 Nm which is more than enough for normal day to day driving. The second petrol engine is the most powerful engine option of the lot, a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine that churns out a stratospheric 510 bhp at 6000 to 6500 rpm along with a violent torque of 625Nm at 2500 to 5500 rpm. This is the engine one should go for if the vehicle is to be used for off roading and extreme driving. The diesel engine is a 4.4-litre SD V8 engine that offers an appreciable power of 335 bhp with an outstanding torque of 700 Nm. The transmission on all the variants is an 8 speed automatic transmission with pedal shift that ensures fast gear transitions, thereby maintaining efficiency of the engine.

Power:

The 5.0-litre supercharged V8 is the most powerful among the three engines offering 510 hp at 6000 to 6500 rpm alongside a maximum torque of 625 Nm between 2,500 to 5,500 rpm making it a one of a kind SUV that has such brute force. The 4.4-litre diesel V6 provides 335 bhp power with an astonishing torque counting 700 Nm (brilliant for off-roading conditions) whereas the 3.0-litre V6 petrol churns out the same power of 335bhp but with a reduced torque measuring 340Nm.

Acceleration and Pick up:

Range Rover is a fast SUV, all thanks to its supercharged V8 engine 5.0-litre borrowed from the Jaguar. It gives it a 0-100 acceleration in just 5.4 seconds along with the top speed of 225 kmph, which increases to 250 kmph when used with the 22 inch alloys. The diesel V8 also has the similar acceleration but the top speed is restricted to 218 kmph, and that of the V6 petrol is restricted to 210 kmph with 0-100 acceleration in 7.4 seconds.

The brakes on both the front and rear wheels of the Vogue are ventilated disc type with the diameter of 380mm and 365mm on the front and rear wheels respectively. Since it is a permanent four wheel drive it comes with lots of electronic braking assistance like ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Hill descent and ascent control, cornering brake control and dynamic stability control. There are Electronically Cross Linked Air suspension that adjusts themselves according to the terrain and an electronic power assisted steering.

Safety and security:

The Range Rover comes with a lot of safety features. Airbags for front, side and rear passengers are standard and offer complete protection in case of accidents. The electronics like ABS, EBD, BA and an immobilizer and alarm system makes it a secure car.

The cockpit is also crash tested and safe. There are active speed limiters which can be adjusted so that the speed limit is not crossed. The rear parking sensors and surround view camera always keeps the driver informed about the car's surroundings.
