Nissan Navara

The interior cabin of the Nissan Navara has design elements which are not very extraordinary but yet modern and feature an appealing effect. Talking about the steering wheel first, it has Y-shaped silver garnishing which gives it a premium and sophisticated appeal. The instrument console is however not very classy, but is plain in design and does not stand out dramatically. The whole cabin space dons a piano-black theme which perfectly contrasts the silver hues at various places. Coming to the centre-instrument cluster, it is broad and has a big 2-DIN infotainment system with automatic climate controls and AC vents at the centre. Additional features include cruise control, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and steering mounted audio and blue-tooth controls. The cabin is pretty spacious and can accommodate five passengers easily and the loading bay is also wide enough with low loading lip.

The interior aesthetics of the Navara are very stylish, premium and subtle but the exterior design looks masculine and dons a tough stance. Also enhancing the front stance are block-shaped parallelogram like headlamps, which house the projector bulbs with inverted L-shaped Daytime Running Lights. The side profile looks conventional, with large doors and high ground clearance, perfectly balancing the bulky weight of the pickup truck. The Nissan Navara has been typically designed with a body chassis and frame to make it powerful, bulky and solid. The pickup truck has independent double-wishbone with a stabiliser bar at the front and multi-link at the rear. This suspension set-up assists the pick-up is complying to its heavy-duty usage. Navara has been tuned to ride on a stiffer side to make off-roading utterly smooth and comfortable.

The Nissan Navara has a 2.5-litre diesel engine under the chassis. This engine in the lower V MT, SE MT, SE AT, and V AT variants churns out 163 PS of maximum power and 403 Nm of peak torque. In the higher VL AT and VL Plus AT variants, this very engine produces maximum power and torque outputs of 190 PS and 450 Nm respectively. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual, with a 7-speed automatic in higher variants.

The Nissan Navara is equipped with all the basic and standard safety features such as front, side, curtain, and knee airbags, around view monitor, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, active brake limited slip, hill start assist, hill descent control and reverse parking sensors.
