5 Reasons to Like Renault Clio GT Line

Renault Clio GT Line was previewed for the first time in Malaysia in September at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. After that, it was displayed at the Sri Hartamas Renault Showroom from October 27. And then it was finally launched in Malaysia on October 30. Malaysians would be getting the CBU-from-Turkey Renault Clio GT Line for RM118k including OTR costs sans insurance. So if you are planning to buy this hatchback, first have a look at our list of reasons to like it.

1. Sporty exteriors

The automaker has provided this car a sporty look which are further accentuated by its 17-inch alloy wheels with tires measuring 205/45/R17. Further, a sloping roofline along with hidden rear door handles takes the look forward. Moreover, its tinted rear windows and black pillars enhance the sporty character of this French vehicle.

2. Renault signature styling

Towards the front fascia, it features the signature quadruple Renault badge that is embedded withing a gloss black assembly that houses halogen headlights and LED daytime running lights. At the rear end, one can find the same spoiler like that of Renault Clio RS 200 EDC and a diffuser-like element which houses a single exhaust outlet.

Inside, it is trimmed in a combination of leather and fabric. The seats are wrapped in the fabric while a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel comes as standard. Elsewhere the classy grey trim dominates the centre console and dashboard. Further, all the floor mats have got a dark black tone. Overall, this grey-black contrast provides a harmony to its cabin.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2-litre TCe 120 four-cylinder engine which churns out a maximum power of 118 hp at 4900 rpm along with a peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. The power id further transferred to its front wheels through a six-speed EDC dual-clutch transmission. This car completes a century sprint in 9.9 seconds along with a top speed of 199 kmph while the fuel economy comes to 5.2 l/100 km.

5. Numerous safety features

The Euro NCAP five-star-rated Renault Clio GT Line is blessed with an array of safety features. It is equipped with front, lateral and thorax airbags, seat belts with pre-tensioners, Isofix mounts on the front passenger seats and two rear seats, ESC, hill start assist and ABS with brake assist.
