Usain Bolt Cars: Record Speed Unleashed

Kuala Lumpur: Usain Bolt's record braking performance has always earned him numerous accolades. He has been tagged as 'the fastest man on earth' and 'richest runner' in the history of track. His estimated net worth till last year was $30 million and is likely to increase massively over the coming years. It is being speculated that if he doesn't slow down before 2016 Olympics then he will be worth over $100 million. Many big companies like Puma, Gatorade and Virgin Media have paid him fortunes to endorse their brands. His biggest paycheck came from German shoe company Puma, which paid him a whopping $9 million for one year.

Being a car lover, Usain has used his hard earned money to own a fleet of exotic vehicles. His cor collection boasts of being loud, proud and supremely fast, much like their driver!!! His clear passion for speed is also depicted in his choice of cars. Lets have a look at all those cars which Usain has used to spoil himself.

Ferrari 458 Italia

Ferrari 458 Italia is a two-seater sports car which was first officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is considered to be one of the most attractive looking Ferrari ever produced by the Italian automaker. This fine piece of engineering is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine which carries 8 cylinders. It can churn out a maximum output of 562 hp at 9000 rpm along with a peak torque of 540 Nm at 6000 rpm. Further, it is coupled with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. From a position of halt, it can reach an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds along with a top speed of 325 kmph. Ferrari 458 offers a decent fuel economy of 7.5 kmpl.

Being a successor to Ferrari 360, it made a debut at the 2004 Paris Motor Show and was manufactured by the Italian automaker from 2004 to 2009. it is powered by a 4.4-litre DOHC V8 engine which is further mated to a six-speed manual transmission with automated shifting and clutch. This power mill is capable of delivering a maximum power of 490 hp at 8500 rpm alongside 465 Nm of torque at 5250 rpm. It takes just 3.6 seconds to complete a 0-100 kmph sprint with a top speed of 300 kmph. It delivers a combined fuel economy of 5.5 kmpl.

BMW M3

It remains the only car ever to earn more titles in motor-sport than the Porsche 911. BMW M3 is also tagged as the most successful touring and grand touring car ever to have participated in racing. Under the hood it is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine which is powerful enough to churn out a maximum output of 431 hp at 5500-7300 rpm with maximum torque of 550 Nm at 1850-5500 rpm. It completes a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 4.3 seconds and can climb to a top speed of 250 kmph. Talking about the fuel economy, it delivers a decent 8.8 kmpl.

Nissan GT-R

Being a successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R, it is a two-door coupe which was unveiled by Nissan in 2007. Under the bonnet, it holds a 3.8-litre DOHC twin-turbocharged and inter-cooled engine carrying six cylinders. It produces a maximum power of 600 hp at 6800 rpm along with a commanding torque of 652 Nm at 3200 rpm. Further, it is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with manual shifting mode. From a position of standstill, it reaches an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and clocks a top speed of 307 kmph. It delivers a mileage of 8.5 kmpl.
