1451 HP 'Hennessey Venom GT Spyder' to be Unveiled at 2015 SEMA Show

Kuala Lumpur: Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) is all set to unveil its flagship hypercar – 2016 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder at SEMA Show, this year.

Priced at $1.4 Million in U.S., the hypercar is powered by a 7.0L Twin-Turbo V8 Engine boasting a massive 1451hp of power at 7200 rpm, a gain of 207hp over the previous-generation Hennessey Venom GT, which recorded a top speed of 435.31 km/h on the Kennedy Space Center’s 5.18 km shuttle landing strip in Florida, in 2014.

The horsepower and torque are increased due to the engine's ability to run on E85 Flexfuel, which helps to increase boost pressure from 19psi to 26psi.

In a press release, John Hennessey, Founder and President of Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) says, “Being the fastest matters. We are intent on keeping the Venom as the fastest, best performing and most exciting hypercar on the road.”

Sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires will put the Venom’s power to the ground through GPS-based traction control system. With a curb weight of just 1244kg, 2016 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder features an impressive power to weight ratio.

The hypercar also scores 10 out of 10, given its projected performance figures, according to which, it makes century sprint (0-100mph) in just 4.4 seconds. The top speed of 2016 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder is rated over 450 km/h.

“We plan to demonstrate our improved power and performance both in terms of straight line acceleration as well as road course handling and lap time performance”, added Hennessey. "We only plan to produce a handful of Venom GT’s in 2016 as we are also preparing for our next evolution, the Venom F5", he further explained.

Apart from 2016 Venom GT Spyder, Hennessey will also unveil 2016 HPE750 Supercharged Ford Mustang Convertible and 2016 VelociRaptor 650 Supercharged Ford F-150 Pick-up truck at 2015 SEMA Show to be held from November 3 November 6, 2015, in Las Vegas.
