Alfa Romeo 4C Upgraded With 314hp Power by Pogea Racing

Kuala Lumpur: The Alfa Romeo 4C has been tuned up to a next-level by Pogea Racing. The German auto tuner has not only tuned-up the Italian sports car but also managed to churn out more power from its small engine. The tuned-up Alfa Romeo 4C has been named as 4C Centurion 1Plus.

The powertrain of the Alfa Romeo 4C consists a 1.75-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine of the Giulietta. The original engine, which is capable of producing the maximum power of 240 hp and the peak torque of 350Nm has been tuned up to a next level to produce the maximum power of 314hp and the maximum torque of 455 Nm. Also, the additional power is paired to an upgraded TCT dry twin-clutch transmission which makes the gear changing 55% faster and allow the Pogea Racing's 4C Centurion 1Plus to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 3.8 seconds (original 4C takes 4.1 seconds) before hitting the top speed of 305kmph (original 4C's top speed is 257 km/h).

In terms of aesthetic improvements, Pogea Racing's 4C Centurion 1Plus flaunts a carbon-fibre body that feature a new bumper and grille inserts at the front-end, side skirts on the both sides, and a rear apron, diffuser and a working spoiler, at the rear. The rear spoiler is capable of producing 35kg extra downforce to the rear axle at the speed of 160 km/h. To improve the handling, the 4C Centurion 1Plus has been equipped with a set of springs, which lowers its stance by 50 mm. Moreover, a pair of 18-inch front and 19-inch rear ultralight forged XCUT rims wrapping Michelin 225/40ZR18 (front) and 265/30ZR19 (rear) tyres can be also given.

While the production of the original Alfa Romeo 4C is already limited to 3500 units, only 10 units of Pogea Racing's 4C Centurion 1Plus will be produced. The Italian Automaker has set the cost of the entire tuning package at USD$87,100 (RM371,150), including the original 4C, assembly, and the paintwork.
