Bentley Mulsanne to sign off with the 2020 limited 6.75 Edition model

KUALA LUMPUR: Bentley is all set to end the production of Mulsanne range of cars. The 2020 Bentley Mulsanne 6.75 Edition is the last model of the range which is also a limited edition model, with only 30 units to be produced by Bentley’s Mulliner customization department. Along with the Mulsanne range, it will be the end of the V8 6.75-litre engine that was in continuous production from the last sixty years.

The V8 power mill has seen all kinds of updates and upgrades during its course of development and use. Each of the 30 units will be powered by the V8 motor, fitted inside the Mulsanne Speed, that is capable of churning out a max power of 537 PS and a peak torque of 1100 Nm.

On the outside, the 2020 Bentley Mulsanne 6.75 Edition gets dark-tinted components visible on the chrome grille, exhaust tips, windows, Flying B bonnet ornament and lower body trim. The 21-inch machined alloys come with gloss black sections and the engine intake is also garnished in black. The engine number plaque has been signed by the brand’s CEO, Adrian Hallmark.

Inside, the last Mulsanne gets silver accents throughout, contrast stitching and piping, four leather colour options, including Newmarket Tan, Beluga, Foreglow and Imperial Blue and the striking centre console that features painted veneer. Aside from this, the headrests get 6.75 Edition logo. This logo can also be seen on the engine bay, puddle lights and exterior.

The faces of minor gauges and clocks inside the cabin get schematic cutaway drawings of the V8 engine. The usual “organ stop” air vent controls have been replaced with the scaled-down version fo the engine oil cap. The production of the Mulsanne range will end in the second quarter of this year.

After the Mulsanne, which is the flagship sedan for the British automaker, the new Flying Spur will take over as the new Bentley’s flagship sedan.
