BMW reveals 2019 Z4 roadster, albeit still covered in complete camouflage

KUALA LUMPUR:  Every popular automaker has its own mantra that leads to the success garnered. Some of the automakers even have a pattern of bringing in new cars and their revelation. But, it requires to study it closely in order to decode what we can expect next.

BMW has been one of them and followed a pattern of launching new cars lately. Apparently, the German luxury automobile brand reveals the car in complete camouflage first followed by displaying it sans the cover. The same pattern had been followed for the X3 and the new 8 Series. And guess what, the Z4 seems to come by in the same way.

Yes, BMW has revealed the upcoming roadster, the Z4, wrapped in the traditional black and white camo. Plus, this also means, the company will showcase the car without covers in the coming months.

Beside this official spy shot revelations, BMW has also given out some information about the Z4 roadster. It will be having a lowered suspension setup to make it sportier with dampers that are electronically controlled. The axle on the M light alloy wheels will be new. Also, we aren’t expecting the xDrive AWD mechanism to be given here, making it an old-school but fun-to-drive RWD thriller.

The upcoming BMW X4 will be getting an extremely potent engine, which could be even more powerful than the previous generation model. Though it would be based on the upcoming Supra, a hardtop coupe, it could still be a detuned version as the company will bring it as a junior-level open-top tourer sibling. That said, the potent six-cylinder engine would at least make over 335 PS power as the previous generation model made 335 PS.

The newly revealed BMW Z4 carries a significant resemblance to the concept that was showcased last year. The upswept headlamps bring the ‘angel-eye’ design up front. But not to forget, the kidney-shaped grille with a unique pattern on them and the big air-intake vents on the sides of the bumper are worth the praises.
