China gets CMW-based Lynk & Co 03+ Cyan Edition

KUALA LUMPUR: Meet the CMW-based Lynk & Co 03+ Cyan Edition, it is a racy-looking version of the Lynk & Co 03. Limited to the Chinese market this one is built to celebrate the automaker's not one but three World Touring Car Cup titles.

One might not recognise the car, but it's the colour that brings up all the memories. This particular hue is the work of Cyan Racing and was seen last year on the stunning Volvo P1800 and on the 03 during the WTCR.

Thinking what's the connection between Lynk & Co and Volvo? Well, Lynk & Co is part of Geely that also owns Volvo. Apart from the colour scheme, there's a lot more Volvo and Lynk & Co share. For instance, the 03 is supported by the same 'CMA' platform that is also found in Volvo XC40 and Polestar 2.

Another interesting fact is that Cyan Racing was formerly known as Polestar. It was later when Volvo appropriated the name for all its all-electric performance units the new name was adopted.
