China gets the all-new 2022 Haval H6 Hybrid

KUALA LUMPUR: Great Wall Motors has officially entered Malaysia with a grand opening of its wholly owned subsidiary named GWM Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd in July 2022. During the event, the Chinese automaker showcased the Ora Good Cat EV and hints at the arrival of the Haval H6. The latest news around the latter is the launch of its hybrid iteration in the home country.

    2022 Haval H6 Hybrid

    The H6 DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) comes equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine kicking out 169 PS of maximum power and 285 Nm of torque. The mill is tied with a 177 PS electric motor to produce a combined output of 243 PS and a peak torque of 530 Nm. Sending power to the ground is a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

    The H6 DHT-plug-in hybrid, on the other hand,  delivers a total output of 326 PS and 530 Nm. Paired with a 2-speed DHT transmission and 41.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the PHEV comes in two versions offering an all-electric range of 55 km and 110 km. 

    2022 Haval H6 Hybrid

    In terms of design and features, the Haval H6 mimics the gasoline model. The C-segment SUV is a handsome beast accessorised with a wide six-point Fangsheng pattern grille, Rising Flame LED headlights, an X-shaped front bumper, and full-width tail lights. Dimensionally, it is 4,653 mm long, 1,886 wide, 1,730 tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,690 mm.
