Five-star ASEAN NCAP Rating is Scored by Suzuki S-Cross
KUALA LUMPUR: Under the Adult Occupant Protection(AOP) category, rating of a five-star ASEAN NCAP regarding safety purpose has been captured by the Suzuki S-Cross. Along with this, a four-star score is also given under the category of the Child Occupant Protection(COP). On behalf of the results published as a part of organisation's 2015 Q2 test, the S-Cross get an AOP score of 15.48, which can be maximum at 16 and has a COP compliance rate of 81%.

A Malaysian-spec, Hungary-assembled Suzuki S-Cross 1.6L CVT was used for testing purpose. Suzuki S-Cross 1.6L CVT is the first vehicle that has been tested by ASEAN NCAP, and is manufactured in Europe. An UN R95 side impact test was an essential prerequisite for cars , which were given four-star ratings or more. Similarly, S-Cross was given an UN R95 side impact test and scored a 'Pass' rating.
The connection of electronic stability control (ESC), Isofix and top tether points considered as safety standards are fitted in the Suzuki S-Cross to ensure that it remains on top in terms of safety. Second position is acquired by the Honda CR-V with an AOP score of 15.46 and rating of four-star related to COP with 86% compliance.
The important feature of S-Cross involves dual zone climate control, which is at first position in its own section, touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, rear AC vents, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.
