Geely confirms Lynk & Co arrival in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Geely recently announced its “Smart Geely 2025” strategy at a tech-focused event at Geely Auto’s Research Institute in China. The event detailed the group’s commitment to technological innovation and the roadmap to boost sales to 3.65 million units per year starting from 2025 across the Geely Auto, Geometry, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr brands.

    Along with confirming the Lynk & Co arrival in Malaysia, Geely also mentioned its target of making Proton the No.1 car brand in Malaysia and top 3 in the ASEAN market with the introduction of new products and technologies.

    During the event, the Chinese automaker also launched the “Leishen Power” brand with a product lineup including the Leishen Hi-X smart hybrid powertrain platform, a new-gen E-Drive motor, high-efficiency hybrid transmissions, and dedicated hybrid engines.

    Further, Geely aims to launch more than 25 new smart vehicle products over the next five years to achieve sales targets. These include more than 10 intelligent and electrified models powered by Leishen Power hybrid powertrain solutions, 5 new Geometry models based on pure electric platforms and the SEA architecture, 5 new Lynk & Co smart models, and 5 new smart battery swapping pure electric models under a new battery swapping mobility brand.
