The shipment follows several local previews. The Style and Prime were first shown at KLIMS 2026, while an Indonesian-market version of the X appeared at HMY’s Durian Runtuh Sales Event at the MBPJ Stadium Car Park last month.

There is already some information on what buyers can expect. As reported during the Malaysian preview, all three variants use a 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol engine producing 115 PS and 143.8 Nm, paired with Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), a CVT-type automatic, driving the front wheels. The differences are mainly in seating and equipment. Hyundai Malaysia’s preliminary listing outlines the range as follows:

    Variant Seating Key equipment
Style Seven seats LED headlights, fabric upholstery, 4.2-inch instrument display, 8-inch infotainment screen, 16-inch alloys and two airbags
Prime Seven seats Fabric and leatherette upholstery, seatback table, 10.25-inch instrument and infotainment displays, 17-inch alloys, six airbags and Hyundai SmartSense driver assistance
X Six seats with second-row captain’s chairs Leatherette upholstery, shift-by-wire transmission controls, floating centre console, gloss-black alloys and different bumpers, grille, spoiler and wheel-arch extensions

Estimated prices are RM99,XXX for the Style, RM109,XXX for the Prime and RM121,XXX for the X. These remain indicative, with Hyundai stating that prices and specifications are subject to change. Hyundai Malaysia’s Stargazer listing.

The seating layout is one detail families should pay attention to. Moving up to the X brings individual second-row chairs, but reduces total capacity to six people. The Style and Prime accommodate seven.

Hyundai is marketing the Stargazer under the ‘WEhicle’ branding, focusing on family use, everyday practicality and weekend trips. With the first batch now here, the next announcement should settle the final prices and equipment buyers will get for their money.
