Increased Police presence in Kuala Lumpur: Operasi Hormat Undang-Undang underway until June 15

KUALA LUMPUR: If you’ve noticed an increased police presence on the roads lately, you’re not mistaken. The Kuala Lumpur Police are currently conducting Operasi Hormat Undang-Undang (Respect the Law Operation or Op HUU) from today until June 15.

As reported by Malaysiapost, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, stated that this operation will focus on traffic obstruction offenses, white line violations, registration number issues, motorcycle regulations, illegal parking, red light violations, and mobile phone use.

"The operation will involve over 200 officers and personnel from various departments and districts within the Kuala Lumpur contingent."

"Road users are advised to always comply with the established regulations and practice courteous driving for the safety of all road users and to maintain Kuala Lumpur's image as a central city," he said in a statement."

1. Download the App: Download the MyJPJ app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Open the App: Launch the MyJPJ app on your mobile device.
3. Register an Account:
   • Click on the "Register" button.
   • Enter your identification number (NRIC) and other required personal details.
   • Create a secure password for your account.
4. Verify Your Account:
   • You will receive a verification code via SMS or email.
   • Enter the verification code in the app to verify your account.
5. Log In: Once registered and verified, log in using your NRIC and password.
6. Complete Your Profile:
   • Fill in any additional required information, such as contact details and vehicle information.
7. Access Services: After completing your profile, you can access various services offered by MyJPJ, such as viewing your driving license details, checking your road tax status, and managing other vehicle-related information.

By following these steps, you'll be able to conveniently manage your driving-related documents and services through the MyJPJ app.

Previously, Op HUU was conducted in two phases, with Phase 1 from July 3 to July 31, 2023, and Phase 2 from September 15 to September 29, 2023.
