Jaguar XE and F-Pace showcased at Delhi Auto Expo 2016

Kuala Lumpur: Jaguar Cars, the famous UK based luxury automobile manufacturer, has made an exceptional mark at the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo 2016, by showcasing two of its most important models – the Jaguar XE and Jaguar F-Pace. Owing to the fact that the India-based Tata Motors now owns the JLR group, it is apparent that the management of Jaguar is keeping India at a high priority to cap the expanding luxury car market of the country.

The Jaguar XE was recently launched in Malaysia and now the company has showcased it on the Indian soil with similar features as offered here. The Indian debut of the XE sedan was made on the opening day of the Delhi Auto Expo 2016, when the company launched it at a mouth watering price of INR 39.90 lacs (Equivalent to about RM 244076.82). This compact executive car features futuristic styling, thanks to sleek projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a prominent front grille with chrome lining, and aptly contoured hood. The massive dimensions and classy cuts and creases make the XE Sedan an eye-magnet.

Interiors too have been given a quintessential Jaguar touch, with ample amount of leather wrapped inserts, ergonomically placed knobs and buttons, and three-spoke leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel. The 8-inch touchscreen unit takes care of the infotainment needs while an easy to read Multi-Information Display (MID) makes every necessary information available for the driver.

The XE engine options include a solitary 2.0-litre petrol engine, that has been tuned to provide two different power outputs: 197 hp and 240 hp. While the 197 hp state of tune is perfect for those who wish to use their premium sedan for office runs and occasional highway rides, the higher power output model is squarely aimed at performance-oriented customers. Owing to such a tasteful package offered, the Jaguar XE is being considered a serious threat for current segment leaders, including the BMW 320d, Mercedes-Benz CLA, and Audi A4.

Fpace SUV

In addition to this Jaguar Sedan, the company also showcased the highly anticipated Jaguar F-Pace, which is soon going to arrive in Malaysia. This Jaguar SUV was revealed a few months back while the official launch is scheduled for the second half of 2016. As far as its exteriors are considered, the F-Pace has regularly been regarded as F-Type on steroids, which can in no way be termed as an understatement. As a result, the F-Pace gets optional wrap-around LED headlamps, large air dam, a wide chrome lined front grille, and massive 10-spoke alloy wheels.

In India, the F-Pace will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel which is rated at 178 hp and 430 Nm, while the bigger 3.0-litre V6 diesel develops a colossal 296 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Both these engines will be mated to an 8-Speed automatic gearbox, which will deliver power to all four wheels through Jaguar's indigenously developed All Wheel Drive (AWD) system.
