- Located at One Logistics Hub in Shah Alam, KSM’s central parts warehouse spans approximately 20,000 sq. ft.
- Working closely with logistics partner PKT Logistics Group, the new facility is supported by nine dedicated staff and targets same-day delivery within the Klang Valley, while significantly reducing fulfilment lead times for other regions across Malaysia.
- It serves as the central foundation for parts inventory management and nationwide distribution, and recent parts shipments have enabled KSM to achieve near-complete parts availability (service, electrical, mechanical, and structural components) across all models currently on sale.
- This includes parts supporting vehicles still in operation such as the Kia Forte, Cerato, Picanto, Stinger, Seltos, Optima, EV6 and EV9, alongside multiple generations of the Carnival, Sportage and Sorento.
- The company also worked closely with its dealer network to strengthen inventory management and ensure timely stock replenishment at the dealer level.
“Since the start of our operations, our approach has been to build the fundamentals first – from parts availability and inventory management to dealer capability and service support. These are the foundations that allow us to deliver a more consistent ownership experience today, while preparing Kia Malaysia for sustainable growth in the years ahead,” said KSM president and CEO Hyung Ho Kim.
Kia Sales Malaysia Managing Director, Emily Lek, highlighted that centralised warehouse operations have been a key pillar of Kia’s Return, Rebuild and Reposition strategy in Malaysia.“ These efforts are complemented by initiatives such as the reduction in genuine parts prices and greater flexibility for customers to purchase the Kia Maintenance Plan. Together, these measures are designed to make Kia ownership more straightforward and predictable, while ensuring our aftersales capabilities continue to grow alongside our customer base,” said Lek.
Kia Maintenance Plan
This move comes alongside the company’s wider efforts to build a robust aftersales ecosystem, complemented by an average 15% reduction in prices across nearly all Kia Genuine Parts and greater flexibility under the Kia Maintenance Plan (KMP).
KMP is a prepaid five-year scheduled servicing package, enabling Kia customers to lock in scheduled maintenance costs at current prices. Key highlights include -
- It covers scheduled maintenance items including full synthetic engine oil, oil filter, cabin and engine air filters, brake fluid and spark plugs, together with multi-point vehicle inspections, labour and standard scheduled service costs.
- It provides greater flexibility and affordability; customers can now opt into the KMP plan for up to 11 months from the vehicle’s registration date, provided the vehicle has not reached its first lubricant change milestone.
KMP prices for different Kia models are as follows -
- Sportage 1.6T - RM 2,980
- Carnival 2.2D - RM 3,580
- Sportage 2.0 - RM 3,680
