Lamborghini Temerario launched in Malaysia – Hybrid V8 supercar with 920 PS and 10,000 rpm
KUALA LUMPUR: Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur has officially pulled the covers off its latest petro-electrified machine – the Lamborghini Temerario.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
How powerful is the Lamborghini Temerario?
It produces 920 PS from a twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors, with a 0–100 km/h time of just 2.7 seconds. How much does the Lamborghini Temerario cost in Malaysia?
It starts from RM1.35 million before duties, taxes, and personalisation.Serving as the final piece in the brand’s hybrid puzzle, this new supercar joins the V12-powered Revuelto and plug-in Urus SE, completing Lamborghini’s transition to a fully hybridised lineup.
Underneath its low-slung body sits an all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors. This combination delivers 920 PS and allows the Temerario to hit 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, topping out at 343 km/h.
Lamborghini says the V8 alone punches out 800 PS at up to 9,750 rpm and 730 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm, while the hybrid system fills torque gaps to maintain seamless, high-revving performance right up to the engine’s screaming 10,000 rpm redline.
Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, summed it up by saying: “Driven by an all-new twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, it delivers the highest level of performance and comfort for a peerless driving experience rooted in Italian automotive excellence.”
Launched in Blu Marinus matte paint, the Temerario made its Malaysian debut alongside its electrified siblings at a private event. Also on display was Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customisation program, showcasing over 400 colour options and various interior and exterior trim packages.
More than just speed
Beyond the headline figures, the Temerario represents a major overhaul in Lamborghini design and engineering. A new aluminium spaceframe chassis boosts torsional rigidity and improves both ride comfort and driving precision.
Compared to the Huracán, the Temerario offers significantly more headroom, legroom, and overall space – even accommodating drivers up to 2 meters tall wearing a helmet.
Inside, the “feel like a pilot” philosophy continues with aviation-inspired switchgear, a more spacious layout, and intuitive digital interfaces. The hexagonal theme – a long-standing Lamborghini design motif – is visible everywhere from the new DRL signature to the vents and even the exhaust tip.
Tailored for the track – and the commute
For those who plan to push the Temerario beyond Sunday drives, Lamborghini has introduced an ‘Alleggerita’ (lightweight) package.
This option reduces weight by up to 25 kg with carbon fibre rims and interior parts, and boosts aerodynamic performance by up to 67%. In terms of downforce, the Temerario offers 103% more rear grip than the Huracán EVO, rising to 158% with the Alleggerita kit.
Drivers can select from 13 driving modes – five for road and track use (Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa Plus) and three hybrid-specific modes (Recharge, Hybrid, Performance).
These modes are controlled via two rotary dials on the steering wheel, with a dedicated Launch Control button as well.
Rolling on Bridgestone Potenzas
Bridgestone has developed bespoke Potenza Sport and Potenza Race tyres for the Temerario, tailored specifically for its extreme performance needs. The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels can be optioned in cast, forged, or carbon fibre designs.
Now open for orders
Pricing for the Lamborghini Temerario in Malaysia starts at RM1.35 million, excluding duties, taxes, and customisation. Bookings are now open through Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur.
